Right person wrong time?
My parents
Or just wrong person?
Ever found yourself wishing the situation was different? You’re so infatuated by this person in front of you, and they’re just right for you, EXCEPT there’s something in the way. You met too late in your college career, or your jobs are taking you to different continents. Be it distance, other people, it just can’t work. They’re perfect, but it only would’ve worked if they came a few years later or some months earlier… Well, I call bullshit.
I think the right person is worth moving mountains for. I think the right person is worth sitting on the phone with for hours, not knowing the next time you will see them again. Because those moments of perfect conversation or the glimpses of an all-consuming smile are enough for you when it’s about them.
“How do I look away now that I have seen you?”
It is undeniably difficult, especially if you’re like me, who loves being with their significant other whenever possible. Whether it be to sit in silence or go for a long walk. However, I just like to think that the right person is worth putting yourself in these uncomfortable situations for. Right? I’m hoping my great love will say “fuck it I want to be with you regardless”.
Watch the movie Serendipity (2001), they get it

Honestly, feel free to disagree with me. I don’t really know if I agree with myself entirely on this one, still determining my stance.
I do think that life takes crazy turns. Takes you to far corners of the world, and doing so next to someone makes these turns slightly smoother. I like to think the right person will simply make the harder moments easier. Things won’t line up perfectly, it’s never that easy. But I think it can be done. I think for “the one”, you’ll pick up those paths and make them line up, even if its way down the road.
Disclaimer: This is hypocritical of me, especially because I’m the first one to opt out of a long-distance relationship. I am terrible with answering the phone. Maybe someday I’ll listen to my own advice? I’m only telling you what I’ve noticed, and what I hope for the people I love.
